Welcome to Montello Theater, a timeless gem since 1859 (pre Lincoln Presidency) that stands apart from the crowd in more ways than one. In an era where entertainment costs seem to be soaring, we pride ourselves on being a sanctuary for budget-friendly and family-friendly experiences. Our commitment to keeping prices accessible has been unwavering since the day we took the reins of this historic movie theater.

While many theaters are adjusting their ticket and concession prices upward, Montello Theater remains steadfast with $5 tickets and some of the lowest concession prices in the state. This is a passion project for us and NOT about making money.

But we don’t stop there. At Montello Theater, we believe in giving back to those who have given so much to us. We decided to make ALL Veterans FREE admission FOREVER! Jen and Kerry (Owners) donated $500 of their personal funds to pay for the first 100 veterans. Others wanted to pay it forward and so we have an option below to pay it forward for veterans. Click the DONATE button below to pay it forward!*

* Donations first go to cover the cost of veterans. BUT if donations run out, Kerry and Jen intend to deposit another $500 and keep the project going forever. If we get more donations than veterans we hope to expand this initiative to be free for seniors forever. If for some reason there is an overage of donations beyond the demand for veteran tickets those funds would roll over and or go into our building fund to help maintain our building which dates back to 1859. Our goal is veterans will be free forever. We’re thrilled to announce our initiative to provide free tickets to veterans. These individuals have dedicated their lives to serving others, and it’s our turn to express our gratitude.

Our mission goes beyond just providing entertainment; it’s about fostering a sense of community and appreciation. If our donation-based system doesn’t cover the tickets, we’re more than willing to dig into our own pockets to ensure that these special members of our community get the chance to enjoy a show on us.

Since the moment we became stewards of this 160-year-old building, not a single penny has been taken by our family. Every cent earned from ticket sales and concessions goes directly into the preservation and enhancement of this historic theater. We are proud to be a part of this incredible community, and we want to show our appreciation by keeping the arts accessible to all.

Join us in our mission to pay it forward. Your support will not only help us maintain our budget-friendly prices but also enable us to continue providing complimentary tickets to those who have dedicated their lives to service. Let’s come together to celebrate the magic of Montello Theater and ensure it remains a beacon of affordability, community, and appreciation for generations to come.
